Editing Analysis of Our Film

In a lot of superhero films they use mainly one type of editing and that is continuity editing. for our film not only did we do it as best we could to the editing style of continuity editing,but we also included different cuts that are appropriate to superhero films. such as quick cuts, this emphasizes on the action and also long continues shots to capture as much as possible in one shot. In my personal opinion i feel that our film plays through smoothly and that we editing the film really well and captures the element of film.

Mise En Scene Of Or film

-setting: For our setting we used the desert and an old scrap yard are this created a desolate effect to help engage the audience into the superhero film

-props: In our first draft of our film we had used a metal object for a prop, however the audience were confused by the value of the prop and so we removed it for our final film.

-Nvc: In our film we use nvc to voice the concern for this girl on Adams face, this shows the audience that he is not familiar with her. Nvc is also used to show the pain of being talked to by this man on my face, this develops the story line and introduces the super power

-lighting: For our film we only used natural lighting from outside to create a more natural effect to the film ad less artificial. This helps to connect the audience with their reality and the films fiction.

- costume: For Adams costume we decided to keep it very simple and modern by using black jeans however we added a ripped shirt to almost give a reason why he was also wandering around this abandoned land. My characters costume uses neutral colours to help to blend my character into the sandy barren land. 

Camera Analysis Of Our Film

In our Final film we considered the different types of camera techniques used in superhero films. For example panning shots, establishing shots and over the shoulder shots. We used all of these camera techniques and many other styles. after putting the final film together we could see how effect it was to use these methods of filming and how it created a cinematic superhero effect. The camera techniques play a key part in making the film to fit its genre.

Sound Anaylsis of Our Film

In our film we have different techniques of sound, including background music and dialogue. Just like in most superhero intros we have faint music in the background that slowly builds in tempo as the action or plot develops. In our film we have used this same style to emphasize this genre. Towards the end of our film we have one of our main actors using dialogue to shout at the other actor. This was recorded on a separate day in a sound proof room in school so that the audio is audible, when my character screams this was also recorded separately. Both pieces of audio were manipulated in after effects, to create the Echo of Adams voice and to lengthen my scream and

make it higher pitched.
